Robinette's 100 Year Anniversary Activities!

Looking for a fun family activity to do this weekend? Robinettes is celebrating 100 year anniversary this year and is hosting Picnic Under the Maples on Saturday July 9.

• Take a hayride together! They will be offering these from 12 until 3 pm. This will be a great photo opportunity.
• From 11 am until 4 pm they will have kids games with prizes!
• Try some wine! Robinette's makes their own wine and on this day you can enjoy tasting it for FREE! They will offer this all day.
• Treat your special one with a special donut. They'll have cherry and pumpkin spice ones available.
• Enjoy some live music by Zellie's Opry House band.

Sundaes in the Heights = Free ice cream & kids books!

Every Tuesday from 7-8 PM, Alger Heights is putting on a FREE event at Sundaes in the Heights, located at 2404 Eastern (the corner of Alger & Eastern).  Each night you attend (upon registering), your children will each get a free book and a free ice cream - from cones, cups, or popsicles!  At 7:15, they have a storytime for ages 0-5, 6-8, and 9 & up.  They have sidewalk chalk and other things to keep the kiddos happy too. This was a LOT of fun (but very busy)!

Free Bike Helmets at the Grand Rapids Public Library

At the Ottawa Hills Library (1150 Giddings SE - 616.988.5412), in partnership with the Grand Rapids Griffins' "Put a Lid on It!" program, Safe Kids Greater Grand Rapids will distribute free bike helmets to kids ages 1 to 12 (while supplies last). A parent or guardian must be present to receive a helmet.  Check the schedule to find out when, but it looks like each day will be from 2-3 PM.

Festival this Weekend!

This weekend is the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts! Here is a link to the FREE children's activities that will be going on downtown. I haven't decided if we're heading down there or not yet.
